1st halloween

Cord was such a good boy on his first Halloween. He got to be a cute little black and white tiger. He had to use Coopers old costume because I couldn't find one small enough. Sorry Cord, I'm afraid there will be many hand me downs in your life time. That's what happens when you are the youngest of 3 boys!
He was so content and didn't fuss at all, all night long.
He made it clear through his first ward party! I didn't bother him the rest of the holiday. One time dressing up was enough!

Blessing day

Cords Blessing Day
October 9th, 2011

Travis gave Cord such a beautiful blessing.
I always get so nervous that my babies will cry when they get blessed but Cord was an angel.
He looked so cute in his little blessing outfit.
Most of our family was able to make it to the blessing. Our family is small but it's so nice to have them come and share our special moments with us.
Josie was so glad she could make it.

Cord with Grandpa Lee. Grandma Joye brought breakfast so she was in the kitchen most of the time and I didn't get a picture of her. She was sad!

tub time

First time in the big tub was a success! He is pretty much a fan of the tub.
He was out in no time!

Newborn Pictures 10 days old

So I just couldn't get myself to pay 350 dollars to get newborn pictures taken of Cord. I thought hey, I have a nice camera now, I can totally take pictures myself. Holy nightmare!!!! First of all, Cord was on lights for the first 3 days. Then It was so overcast for 2 days after that and I couldn't get good lighting in my house. By the time I finally got a chance to take them Cord wasn't sleeping all of the time anymore so some of the poses I wanted just wouldn't turn out with him wide eyed and awake. I borrowed a bench from my friend that looked like a little bed. I thought it would be so cute but they didn't turn out either. He pooped and peed all over everything. Naked pics are so hard! Then on the pose where Travis is holding him he started freaking out crying which is so not like him. I was like, forget this!!! Then I noticed that his belly button had torn almost all of the way off!!! I felt soooooooo bad!! Then I started to have a break down because I was never going to have another newborn again and I missed the chance to get good newborn pics!!!

I was heartbroken and decided to give up on them. Then yesterday he was really sleepy so I decided to try it again. He got a cold in his eye and started to get the baby acne and I had to put a onesie on him to protect his belly button but I tried it anyways. He was soooooooo good and you can't even see the cold in his eye or the acne. They didn't turn out at all like I imagined they would because I still have no idea how to use my camera, but I'm still happy with them. I just had to get pictures of his awesome curly hair before it falls out!! Hopefully it stays:) It's crazy to think this baby phase is over for us but.......IT SOOOOOO IS!!! I'm so glad I got newborn pics of one of my kids! They just don't look newborn for very long and I love that I have these and they look just like him. Sometimes your kids don't even look like themselves in pictures but I feel like I got to capture this moment and freeze him in time! What a sweet baby! I love him so much!

grandma time

Aunt Lisa brought Grandma Beth to come and see Cord.
He was so content.
I made her put her had out so it would show her jewelry and fake nails. She is something else!

Grandma Halley made it to visit that same day. She got to feed you and burp you and hold you for quite a while.

One Week Old

I love this picture. He looks like a little teddy bear.

Cooper has completely fallen in love with his baby. He is so gentle but wants to kiss him constantly.

The older kids are so great too. They sure do love Cord.

Cord really likes his swing. Too bad it's broken and we have to push it to get it to swing!!!
